Academic Coach, Indigenous Education Liaison

Hola.
Besides being an Academic Coach and Indigenous Education Liaison at Ecole Olds High, I am also the coordinator of our school’s UNESCO activities.  I am beginning my 25th year here and work in a variety of areas in the school.  I am a lifelong learner who takes pleasure in inspiring people and celebrating the uniqueness of each person I interact with.  Some of my interests include sewing, cooking and learning about cultures.  I am currently trying to learn Spanish.  Our school has a large variety of extra-curricular activities that our students can get involved in and some of the ones I enjoy helping with are the Interact Club, Environment Club, the Indigenous Culture Club - Wahakowtowin and the Textile Arts Club.

My favourite quote is “It is better to light a candle than to curse the darkness” and I strive to  be a light wherever I find myself.
